The Hancock as viewed from the south on Michigan Ave.
While it’s definitely a bit tourist-y, if you’ve never been to the top of the Hancock, it’s time to visit. Especially for those new to the city, there’s no better view from above than the 94th floor of the city’s fourth tallest building. The Hancock beats the Sears Tower in that it has an outside “skywalk” and it doesn’t force you to sit through lengthy videos about the structure. You can see the lake, the loop, and almost everything else from north to south.
USE YOUR U-PASS: Take any train line, transfer to the Red Line and get off at Chicago. The Hancock is only a couple blocks east or follow Google’s directions from the UIC Halsted Blue Line stop.
